WHAT STUDENTS SAY
ABOUT COAT OF GLASS STUDIO...

My mum and I have had a fabulous day!

Steve is fabulous and helped no end!
Thank you for a fabulous day.

L. Bradshaw

I just want to thank you for a super day.  I really enjoyed trying my hand at making a coloured glass panel.  It was so interesting and so satisfying.  Stephen, you were so helpful and encouraging.

A little note to say how much I enjoyed your workshop on Saturday.

There was a lot more to producing the finished item than I had expected and you explained everything very clearly and then let us have plenty of leeway to hone our (very shaky) skills. The perfect balance which is very difficult to achieve.

Thank you very much – I would certainly recommend your day course.

I have done a few workshops at Coat of Glass. Stephen is a great teacher and very organised. I loved the workshops and produced some lovely pieces which I am very proud of. The groups are small with lots of individual support. The farm is a lovely setting and there's parking on local streets at the weekend.

A most interesting and enjoyable course. It has given me a new hobby and I have made dozens of 'Tiffany' glass window hangings - some are displayed at home, but they also make excellent presents.

K. Ruthledge

I made a beautiful stained glass sunrise panel for my Dad's 80th birthday present. It was really enjoyable, do-able and also challenging. Really worth a try.

I had an amazing experience at Coat of Glass Studio. You can feel the passion and the motivation Stephen has and how much he cares about you learning the "Art of glass". I attended my first weekend workshop without knowing much about the Tiffany technique, and then I went home on Sunday with a beautiful little piece I am so pleased with. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed. The Farm is lovely and  you really feel as if you are in a special place. Stephen is a great teacher, very helpful, sharing, careful. I loved the fact that he let me carry on with my own bizzarre idea, even if I was an absolute beginner. So thank you! I want to learn as much as I can and I will attend other weekend workshops for sure!

I attended a 2 day workshop and loved every minute of it! Stephen was a great teacher - he made me feel at ease very quickly, was very encouraging and enthusiastic. The first day Stephen shows you through the various stages, step by step as you try it yourself on your own bit of work; and the second day he lets you create your own piece as independently as you like (whilst always being there to answer questions, rescue bad soldering etc). I love the stained glass I made, and loved learning a totally new skill. Thoroughly recommend. I'd love to learn to do Tiffany pieces now...I'll be back!

Brilliant workshop. Small groups. Individual attention, very helpful.
Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to doing the next one.
Amazing finished stained glass.

Absolutely loved it!
I have been twice now as I absolutely loved the relaxed way Stephen teaches and coming away with something beautiful for my house. It is a full on day and you go away exhausted but with such a sense of achievement.
The studio is easy to get to by public transport. It’s cute that it is based in a city farm as that is also a treat to enjoy on your day.
The second time I visited we went as a group for a surprise birthday for my step mum. We all had a great day again. The choice of patterns and materials available is brilliant and more than you could have imagined.
I definitely recommend you trying Coat Of Glass if this is your first session as Stephen is a great teacher and makes the whole learning process unstressful, easy going and fun.
I will definitely be returning!
